Nostradamus. Just saying that name is kind of awe-inspiring. That name combined with the year 2012 is even more so. Throughout the ages events have unraveled forming what we call history. Nostradamus predictions have accurately described many events in our history. When you look back at the last 100 years to all the violence and bloodshed, and then realize that Nostradamus predictions were made 500 years prior, you cannot help but to be amazed. With all that said, his biggest prediction concerning the future of mankind has yet to come. This is Nostradamus predictions on 2012.
Scholars that have devoted their lives to studying and deciphering the cryptic meaning of Nostradamus prophecies all tend to agree on one thing and that is that something dark await us all in the near future. This is attributed to the known works of Nostradamus and the more recently discovered “Lost Works”, which is a compilation of drawings done by the infamous prophet. These drawings tell a story page by page in pictograph form. Archaeologists believe that Nostradamus was referring to the cosmos and a great galactic alignment when he drew these pictures. This alignment of the planets and the eclipsing of the sun and moon will have great gravitational consequences on planet Earth.
At the top of each drawing Nostradamus placed a wheel with eight spokes. This occurs on all but the last drawing, where the wheel appears with no spokes. Scholars believe that this signifies the center of the universe and a great galactic alignment, which only occurs once every 13000 years. The wheel with no spokes signifies that time has stopped. Other disturbing images show the tree of life being besieged by a giant scorpion, an ark much like the one built by Noah in the Holy Bible, and solar and lunar eclipses followed by a set of scales and a lamb. The lamb signifies the last days or Armageddon.
These images combined with the known prophecies of Nostradamus paint a picture of the future for mankind that many would rather not imagine. The sobering fact about Nostradamus prediction on 2012 is his historical accuracy. Far too many of Nostradamus predictions have come to pass for us not to heed the ones made concerning the year 2012. The real question is that if we ourselves know and heed the warnings made by Nostradamus, can we change this possible future? Some believe we can. Others are not so optimistic.
