This means that places that are warm, will become cold, and places that are cold will become warm. It is also expected that these temperatures can become extreme. You need to be prepared for all types of weather.

Communication. It is very important that you are able to communicate with the people in your group, but also with the other people in the world. It isn`t likely that cell phones, computers, or other means of technology continue to work after 2012. That is why you need to keep your communication simple. Buy walkie-talkies to communicate with your group. You might also want to buy flare guns and an emergency radio.

Food. Food is another important item on any 2012 survival list. You want to make sure that your food is plentiful, but it has to be lightweight and compact. You might have to move during these disastrous days, and it is important that you can bring everything with you. Also, you have to plan past Armageddon. After you have survived, you are going to have to rebuild. Bring seeds with you so that you can restart plant life.

Mobility. No 2012 survival list is complete without some form of mobility. You might be able to use your car for a while, but you can not rely on gas stations to fill you up. Gas can be hard to store, so you might also think of packing bikes, or other means of manual transportation. You also have to keep in mind that you are not transporting yourself alone, but your supplies as well.

Tools. It is important that you add basic tools to your 2012 survival list. You need to bring a first aid kit, a good knife, and an emergency blanket. The more survival tools you have the better, but start with the necessities first. You might find yourself in a situation where you have to leave things behind.
