2012 Survival Group - What Is It?

Do you believe the world will end in 2012? Do you believe earthquake, a rain of fire, an asteroid striking the earth, a nuclear war, or even an alien invasion will put an end to the world as we know it? A lot of people do. As a matter of fact, many fear the coming of the apocalypse so much that they look for a 2012 survival group to be part of.

The idea behind a 2012 survival group is simple: members will help each other survive the natural disasters that are expected to occur. They will share ideas, information, and resources so that the members of the group can stay alive, repopulate the earth after December 2012, and then re-establish civilization.

First off, you will have to figure out where to live. It's highly possible that most of the world's major cities will be destroyed. Continents could sink or shift, or do both. Water levels could rise, volcanoes could erupt, and nuclear meltdowns could take place in many of the world's most populous cities.

Now, of all the places in the world, South America, the United States, Australia, parts of Asia, parts of Canada, and Europe are the most dangerous for anyone to settle in. The world has seven super volcanoes: 1 in Russia, Indonesia, Japan, and New Zealand and 3 in the U.S.A. Note, however, that volcanoes are not the only land forms to watch for. You will have to avoid sea lines too, among others, so you wouldn't have to worry about tidal waves later on.

The next thing to do is to make sure everyone in your 2012 survival group will have the supplies they need to make it through the worst disasters. Water, food, shelter, transportation, clothing, and means for communication are essentials. Ideally, you should have food good for a year. Additionally, you will need other supplies like flares, waterproof matches, tents, blankets, sleeping bags, kitchen utensils, rope, gloves, maps, compasses, hunting equipment, knives, saw, axe, first aid kit, soap, a water filtration device, and if the area has soil appropriate for farming, seeds.

Figuring out where to bring your group to and making sure everyone has the supplies they need are only two of the crucial things you will need to do if you want to form your own 2012 survival group.
