Unless you've seriously been living under a boulder for the last few decades, you've likely at least heard of the ancient Mayan civilization and the 2012 Mayan calendar connection. The ancient Mayan calendar abruptly ends on December of 2012 -- December 21st of 2012 to be exact. Although many people say that this may have been some kind of accident or was a result of the destruction of the civilization as a whole, even more supporting evidence from the very same tribes connected with the ancient Mayans make it clear that it was NOT a mistake at all. The ancient Mayans held firm in their belief that the end of times would totally come about once December 2012 rolled around.
Perhaps the biggest argument or debate in regards to the entire 2012 Mayan calendar topic of discussion is whether December of 2012 will just kick off Armageddon or will absolutely, positively bring about the end of the world as we know it. As with everything so emotional, there are fierce supporters on either side of the debate and both have quite compelling evidence to back up their claims and belief systems. All in all though -- in the end -- does it really matter which theory is correct? We're in for some tough, tough times ahead -- ones that may very well bring about the death and destruction of ourselves and our friends and family.
